McMillan Library and Learning Resource Centre

McMillan Library serves the McMillan campus of Bradford College. Subject areas taught at McMillan are: Teaching; Health and Social Care including Nursing and Social Work; Early Years including CACHE (formerly Nursery Nursing); Youth and Community Work; Counselling and Psychology; and Combined Studies which incorporates some Humanities.

Counter
The counter is located near the entrance of the Library and Learning Resource Centre and is permanently staffed during opening hours.

Here you can borrow and return items, including mini laptops and multimedia items, as well as renewing anything that you already have out on loan. You can also check or collect any reservations you have made and arrange interlibrary loans.

The counter staff will help you with any basic subject enquiries you have and can put you in touch for more detailed enquiries with the librarian for your subject. They will also help with any problems you have with your College log-on and password as well as using your College printer account.

Study Rooms
McMillan Learning Resource Centre has study rooms which students can book for groups and silent study.Some study rooms have access to a smart board, projector and laptop. For further information please ask at the counter

Drop-in Computers
McMillan has a drop-in computer area for student use. You will need your student number to set up your own password and use the PCs. You can access the Internet, MS Office and other applications, and print your documents. You will also have access to college email and the H-drive, where you can save your work.

We use MyPC, a computer management system, which allows you to book online for a time that suits you.
